Two Ways to Participate
This year's Fall Community Clean Up Day will be held on Saturday, October 9. There are two ways to participate:
- Volunteer (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon): Volunteer as an individual or group to pick up litter and remove weeds on the roadside, parks and public areas. Trash bags, pickers, gloves and t-shirt are provided to volunteers. For questions, call Helen Petersburg at 440-392-5801.
- Clean Your Home/Yard (all day): Community pride starts at home: clean out the garage, organize the house, spruce up the yard, paint the fence, clean the gutters, help your elderly neighbor... the sky's the limit! Trash pick up will be on your regular pick up day, however, the city will have extra dumpsters for bulk and yard waste available on October 9 only. See below for rules.
Join us for a morning of volunteering by picking up litter, weeding and general clean up. The 2021 Painesville Community Clean Up Day is Saturday, October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Trash bags, pickers and gloves will be provided. You will also receive a t-shirt to wear to identify you as a volunteer! REGISTER HERE
If your organization, business or team are interested in volunteering in a large group (8 or more), please reach out to us directly so we can help assign projects or areas that may require a little more man power and allow you to work as a team!
