Citizens' Safety Committee

Appointed by City Council on December 7, 1992 as an ad hoc committee to address matters relating to Police and Fire, and provide citizen input concerning programs and services. There is no specified term of office. The Committee is chaired by a member of City Council. Community Reinvestment Council

The Community Reinvestment Council (or CRA Committee) is responsible for reviewing, advising and making annual inspections of Community Reinvestment Areas properties. The committee consists of two members appointed by City Council, one member appointed by the Planning Commission and two additional members who are residents within the designated CRA. Housing Issues Task Force

Appointed by City Council on March 3, 2008 as an ad hoc committee to address matters relating to housing issues within the community and to research and review housing programs and services. There is no specified term of office. The Task Force is chaired by a member of City Council and meets on call or as concerns arise. The members must include a member from the Planning Commission, Fair Housing Resource Center, Northeast Ohio Apartment Association and a Painesville City resident.
