John F Clair Award
The City of Painesville Economic Development Department is proud to announce the John F. Clair Economic Development Award. Although not born in the City of Painesville, John fully embraced his adopted city. He was successfully re-elected three times to the position of councilman at-large after his initial appointment in 1987. John was truly a community leader and a visionary who believed that the City of Painesville was and could be much more than believed. John delighted in setting big goals and in turn accomplishing them. It was his “never take no for an answer” attitude that helped with the retention and expansion of our business community.
