Paul W. Hach II, Ward IV

Paul has served on Painesville City Council since 2004 and was President of Council from January 2014 to January 2022. Before being elected to office, Paul served on the Board of Zoning Appeals, graduated from the City’s Citizens Police Academy and was a member of the Painesville City Education Foundation, Painesville Community Improvement Corporation (PCIC) for 20 years, Lake Erie College Matthews House Restoration Board, Lake Erie Community Advisory Committee and chaired the City’s Housing Issues Task Force Committee.
He is the 2018 President of Painesville Lions Club, a member of the Painesville Exchange Club, graduate of Leadership Lake County and a member of the 2015 Lakeland College Hall of Fame. In 2018 he was also awarded the Spirit of Main Street Award from Heritage Ohio.

Paul has been a long-time advocate for Painesville Electric. In 2021, Paul was appointed to the American Public Power Association (APPA)'s Policy Makers Board. He is also a board member at the Ohio Municipal Electric Association (OMEA).
Paul loves the diversity of Painesville City and all the historic homes in the area. Paul and his wife, Amy, have two adult children they proudly raised in the community they call home.
